Opening an Adobe Acrobat .pdf file at home

When you see a PDF logo pdf logo as a link you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the file. When you click on the logo it will automatically open Acrobat Reader if you have it installed.

The Network has it installed at school but to enable you to look at these files at home you will need to download the reader if not already installed.The link will take you to the page where you can download the Acrobat Reader by following the instructions.

Playing Flash movies at Home

If you cannot run a Flash movie from this website it may mean you need to download the latest Flash Player from the Macromedia website. Just click on the link - Macromedia Flash Player and follow the instructions.

Playing a Quicktime movie at home

The Network at school has QuickTime player already installed but to enable you to look at these movies at home you will need to download the player.

When you see a QuickTime logo as a link you will need to have a QuickTime player installed on your computer to play the movie, it will automatically open the movie if you have it installed. You can download it for free from Apple's Quicktime website. Follow the instructions on the screen.

*NOTE - Some of these movie files can be quite large so if you have a modem connection it may be better for you to view the movies at school*

Opening a WORD document at home

When you see a WORD logo you will need Microsoft WORD installed to view the file.

The Network has it installed at school, if you do not have it home to enable you to look at these files you will need to download a free viewer from the Microsoft Download Centre.

Opening a PowerPoint presentation or show

When you see a PowerPoint logo or Powerpoint show logo next a description you will need Microsoft PowerPoint software installed to view the file. When you click on the link it will automatically open PowerPoint if you have it installed.

The Network has it installed at school, if you do not have it home to enable you to look at these files you will need to download a free viewer from the Microsoft Download Centre.
