Year 10 Geographers at Geographical Association WorldWise Challenge Weekend

Thomas Hardye Students discuss nature of Democracy Following a successful regional competition, six of our fantastic Year 10 Geographers packed their bags (of differing size) and headed up to the Lake District for the national round of the WorldWise Quiz, hosted by the Geographical Association and the Field Studies Council at the Blencathra Field Centre, Threlkeld, Keswick.

The weekend consisted of fieldwork and presentation challenges and students were monitored for their independent learning, teamwork and questioning skills throughout the entire weekend. The focus would be “Why is Blencathra a Special Place?” and students would be asked to justify this at the end of the challenge. [More & images]
