Stem Club Electronics students make robot vehicle.

Stem Club Electronics students make robot vehicle. Josh, Charlie are both Year 11 students and Fionn is a Year 10 student who attend the school’s Electronics STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Club.  They have successfully designed, built and programmed a black-line following robot.  Such devices are found in industry, for example in the warehouses of online and mail order companies for automated stock picking and delivery systems.

Using plastic building bricks, two motors and wheels and cogs to build a vehicle, they devised the wiring and sensing to make it work.  Each of the three was responsible for a different area of the project.  [More]
